New Application!

We now have a new application online; the questions remain the same but there are two important differences:

1) It is now possible to send someone to nickelcitycoop.org/apply and have them wind up at the application page, which makes telling your friends much easier, and

2) It now sends us an email automatically when someone applies, making our response time (hopefully) more timely.

Ol’ Wondermoth and Plankton House still have room openings. Apply! Tell your friends! Check out how awesome co-op living can be!

Thanks to Google for owning yet more of our lives, CJP for the creative sweat, and yours truly for the website work, we now have our membership application online!

As of now, both Ol’ Wondermoth and Plankton House have room openings.

You may have noticed that we have a new look to the website, thanks to work by yours truly and prodding by CJP. Still a WP install but now there’s testing of a new content platform and whatnot going on in the background. New media and face to the site coming…

… soon.

Meantime, visit our community sites and see what else awesome people in Buffalo are doing.

We now have a new membership coordinator, who will hopefully be doing awesome outreach and stuff once she has keys to all of our media accounts. Still reachable at membership@nickelcitycoop.org if you’re interested in applying.

As always, potluck at Ol’ Wondermoth at 7pm this Wednesday; all are welcome.

Under New Management

No, we’re not leaving NASCO or anything like that, but we did have an IT guy move into the house who’s taking charge of our online presence (and trying to make us actively have one). Neither Facebook, nor Twitter, nor this site shall remain untouched or unhandled, but rest assured like the oncoming glorious dawn of spring this website shall blossom forth once more into a magnificent rebirth.

In all seriousness, this site hasn’t been updated in a while and is in general a pretty standard WP install. We’d like to change that, and we’re working to make it happen. We’re also going to be doing more with these fancy social media tools, so follow @planktonhouse and @wondermoth.

For all of you who have been commenting on posts lately, we do have a bit of a moderation queue to work through, and most of them may be tossed since they seem to have been made a while ago. If you have questions about the house, please email contact@nickelcitycoop.org, or membership@nickelcitycoop.org if you’re interested in applying.

Ol Wondermoth (208 North St) has potlucks every Wednesday night at 7pm; drop by with a dish and meet folks. Plankton has their weekly potluck on Sunday at 7pm; feel free to give them some love too.
